Raven was born on the outskirts of Glasgow, in Scotland. She grew up within a pureblood household that was very proud of its heritage. All of her family had been in Slytherin, apart from her cousin, Edith, who was sorted into Hufflepuff. Therefore, her and her family cast her cousin out. Raven had always shown respect for Dark Witches and Wizards, and longed to become the next infamous Dark Witch. She had read loads about Grindlewald and Voldemort, whilst she was in her school years, and wrote about them in her NEWT essay for defence against the dark arts.
After leaving Hogwarts, she took a teacher's training course and pursued her dream of becoming a teacher. However, her dream of leading likeminded purebloods against the Ministry was still strong, but she had to look less suspicious. Hence why she became the Care of Magical Creatures professor at Hogwarts. Deep down she loved this school, but would always wrinkle her nose at muggleborn students and halfbloods. She has been teaching COMC for three years, and though she loves teaching she cannot wait until the time has come to raise out of the ashes. She has not long been promoted to Head of Slytherin, due to her hard work and dedication to the school.
