THE RULES
Yes so here's the boring bit! But rules are there to keep everybody safe, comfortable and happy when role-playing! If there is anything not mentioned on this page, then please note that the admins will discuss it and have the final say on the matter. Please feel free to contact via PM if you have any questions about our site!
» Respect Please respect all members and staff of this forum and treat them as you wish to be treated.
» CBOX No spamming, advertising, heavy cussing, OOC drama or disrespect in our chat box. Be kind and polite to one another! If you are a guest (or member) and have any suggestions about the site you wish to direct to an admin, please use this board instead of using the CBOX.
» Site Rating As you know with proboards, we are a PG-13 site. All sexual intimacy and explicit violence must be kept to a minimum, and please use fade to black where relevant. Swear words can be used IC but please keep it to a minimum OOC.
» Have Fun! Seriously all what we want is for you to have a good time on the site. If there is any concern that you have, then please don't hesitate to contact an admin about it. We want you to have the best experience possible!
» Registering Please register with your character's first name. Then change your display name in the format first last in all lowercase letters.
» Applying Once you have registered, you have 3 days in which to get up your application (finished or unfinished), then 5 days after that to complete it. Any applications that are incomplete after the 5 day period will be archived. If you do return due to unforeseen circumstances; we'll be happy to get it back up again. So long as you can confirm your activity!
» Mini Profile Change your avatar to a square (at least 100x100) gif or image of your character. If you are having difficulty doing this, shoot a message in the CBOX and someone will be glad to help out. On the personal page, there is a place for a 250x350 image, your OOC name and links to your app. Because this is a shipper app site, just use the same link in both boxes! Personal text can be a quote or more information on your character, like blood status, occupation, sexuality, etc.
» Face Claims This is an animanga site, meaning only anime and manga face claims can be used. No real life FCs are allowed.
» Character Limits Your first 5 characters are free. After that, you will need to accumulate 5 posts per characters to unlock a sixth character. We advise against having too many characters - only take as many as you can handle!
» Activity We're fairly laid-back here. Posting once a week is what we expect, and activity checks will be made in the future.
» Word Count We are a NO WORD COUNT site, and believe in quality over quantity. But please refrain from giving your RP partner one paragraph responses for a five paragraph post. One-liners will not be accepted.
» God Modding We do not allow god modding, power play or metagaming in this RPG. This means controlling another's character, assuming complete control of the 'world' around your character or your character being a mind reader. E.g. Sam is a metamorphmagus but hasn't told anyone. Your character, Marcus, is talking to Sam about her being a metamorphmagus. But how would he know that if she hasn't told him?
» Be Realistic Please no Mary Sues or perfect characters! Be as creative as possible when it comes to your characters!
» Powers Characters may only have powers/ use magic according to the Harry Potter books. For lists of spells and potions, use the Harry Potter wiki! All characters will wield magic through a wand, no exceptions. In the future we may give our members the flexibility to invent new spells and potions, but for now this is the rule.
» Transfer Students We do not allow transfer students here. All students must be living in Britain and Ireland to attend Hogwarts, as well as the Professors needing to reside there. Adults can live outside the country, but please keep this to bare minimum.
» Templates It is not a requirement to use templates when posting IC, but they can be used if preferred.
